The mayor of town in Alaska have received six months probation, paying for sex $400 via Facebook

New year’s eve, the mayor of the town of Klawock Lawrence armour was trying to pick up a woman via Facebook.

As reported by the local police chief Craig RJ Ely, January 1, they received a call that someone reported that 36-year-old mayor «exchanged messages with a local resident via Facebook Messenger, forcing her to provide sexual services for money.»

In the correspondence the mayor first called the woman to his house to «just have sex» but later said: «I’ll pay». The interviewee said he would go to the «client», as soon as he sent her money to the card via Facebook Messenger.

January 7 Armor was summoned for questioning during which he admitted that he did translate the woman $400 and was going to reimburse her «taxi».

The district attorney Ketchikan Timothy Mcgillicuddy told the court that the woman took the money, but «no further action» was not. Armor confirmed that she never arrived.

«Being upset that the defendant was drunk before communication on Facebook and made a mistake,» writes Craig Ali in the incident report.

As said the police chief in an interview with Channel 2, about the attempt of the Armor to have sex for money reported the woman was invited to the mayor.

The official was sentenced to 6 months of conditional imprisonment and payment of $1 thousand fine. Despite the charges, he has not resigned and is still the mayor of Klavika.

Klawock is a town in Southeast Alaska with a population of 775 people.
