Representatives of the Ministry of agriculture insist that the animals involved in the research of toxoplasmosis, are a threat to humans. This disease can seriously harm pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems. However, vets have said that kittens can be completely cured, and they may find a new family.

Act «kittens» at the time, promoted a member of the Republican party Mike Bishop, who lost his place in the House of representatives after the midterm elections. Its initiative was picked up Jeff Merk and Jimmy Panetta.
