The legislator from Missouri, offered to oblige the inhabitants to own AR-15 — to draw attention to another plan

In Missouri late last month, Republican Andrew McDaniel presented several of their bills on weapons that require certain categories of state residents to own certain types of firearms.

So, bill No. 1108 was introduced by McDaniel as the Militia Act and first read on February 27. According to him, all residents of the state aged 18 to 35 years, owning a firearms licence, will have until August 28, 2020, to acquire semi-automatic rifle AR-15. Also, the bill provides individual tax incentives for the purchase of this type of weapon.

Two days before this bill McDaniel presented another bill according to which all residents are 21 years of age needs to carry a gun, if they have permission. This proposal was introduced under the number 1052 and also suggested tax incentives for the purchase of weapons. Currently, the hearing on these two bills are not assigned.

As it turned out, both bills was used by Republican as a kind of «political trolling», which aims to draw attention to the more mundane topic. On Friday, March 15, McDaniel said that in fact does not want Billy he proposed were adopted, at least in their current form.

«I was just hoping that the media will write about it. I did eventually make amendments, repealing mandates and requirements (age and type of weapon) and makes the proposed bills in the bill on tax incentives for weapons,» said McDaniel.

«I have never had to force anyone to do anything against his will,» he added.
