Activist for animal rights Linda Rosenthal has prepared a bill under which the sale of fur will be banned from 2021.

Rosenthal notes that many refuse to wear things made of fur and leather, because I think it is unethical and inhumane. Modern people are increasingly against the killing of animals for their fur, as they refer to them as friends and companions.
According to estimates Humane Society, for their fur are killed each year over 100 million animals.
«Fur farms in the United States, raising animals such as raccoons, foxes, mink and chinchillas, often killing the animals, using cruel and inhumane methods,» stresses Rosenthal.
Of course, the adoption of this law will affect the interests of the fur companies. According to the economic study done for the Fur Council, currently the city has more than 130 fur companies, which employ about 1,100 people.
Kim salvo, Director of the popular fur brand Anamoda, considers the ban inappropriate. «No one will be able to buy fur? This is madness!» she said. Moreover, Kim believes that fur can be considered «green» because they are made from «renewable resources», but can be worn forever.
At the same time, the plan Rosenthal has already caused the approval of some public organizations and activists.

Under pressure from activists from fur refused such major fashion brands luxury like Coach, Gucci, Armani, Stella McCartney, Ralph Lauren, Versace, Burberry, Coach, Diane Furstenberg, DKNY.
In San Francisco and Los Angeles has already imposed a ban on fur products.
