Vacationers found on the Gulf of Mexico marijuana and cocaine. The drugs were valued at a million dollars

Beach lovers discovered marijuana and cocaine worth more than $ 1 million, which washed up on the shore of the Gulf of Mexico in Alabama.

A local resident walking along orange beach last Tuesday, may 21, came across the packaging, where it was 9.5 kg of marijuana and one kilogram of cocaine. Two days later another person was found 38 kilograms of cocaine, about a mile from the original site.

Police in orange beach, as well as the Department of homeland security, Customs and border protection and the Coast guard are conducting a joint investigation of the incident. According to police, all packages are overgrown with barnacles, indicating that they were in the water.

Such discoveries are not common along this part of the coast, and those who visited the beach the weekend before memorial Day, was shocked by this news.

«It’s a friendly beach for families, you will not hear about this and have no idea what it can happen here, said Fox 10 vacationer Nick Rodriguez. — That’s pretty crazy. It’s a lot».

Another local resident, Billy Tharp, expressed their concerns about what might happen if children will find drugs.

«Now the beach is a lot of children, he said. — I would not like to face this».
