The national security Agency of the USA without the knowledge of the collected data about calls and messages

The national security Agency U.S. (NSA) had collected data on phone calls and text messages but not the calls without permission.

The program of surveillance was launched after 11 September 2001 the Bush administration in an attempt to locate calls in the U.S. for ties with terrorists.

In January 2018, the NSA banned in droves to collect the metadata of phone calls of Americans. In June last year, the Agency acknowledged that the information received from the communication service provider included some of the records that the Agency was not authorized to receive. In the result, the NSA said that will remove hundreds of millions of call data records, starting in 2015. But the Wall Street Journal says that months after this data collection continued.

The American Union of civil liberties (ACLU) obtained the documents through a judicial process according to the Law on freedom of information regarding the surveillance program. ACLU attorney Patrick Toomey said that the documents confirm is that the program must be closed.

«Collection of addresses of Americans the NSA is too vast, the problems with compliance too much, and illustrates the value of the program is virtually absent, said Toomey of the ACLU. — There is no reason to leave this surveillance power in the hands of the NSA.»

Edward Snowden, a former intelligence officer, told reporters six years ago about the existence of this program as well as a variety of documents, revealing other operations on surveillance conducted by the NSA. The disclosure has caused an international outcry because of the possibility of cyber-espionage.
