7 million views in 3 days: husband and wife, received a green card after 25 agonizing years of waiting, became heroes of the viral video

Perhaps the happiest day for immigrants living in the United States, you can count the day when they received a green card.

For some candidates, the waiting period is short, for others long, but as soon as the office of immigration and naturalization, the United States gives its approval and in the mail comes a letter, the recipients of the green card are often not shy to show their emotions.

Adrian Carillo and his wife Veronica was waiting for 25 years before finally, on Wednesday received a green card, reports the Miami Herald. Their son Alex (19 years old) was with them at their home in Chandler, Arizona when they opened the envelope with a letter from the immigration and naturalization service of the United States. He captured on video the moment when his parents opened the envelopes and learned that they received a constant residence permit in the United States.

Middle-aged people danced and cried. And then Alex posted a video on his Twitter, adding: «For those who asks «Why can’t they come in here legally»: my parents left 25 YEARS and THOUSANDS of dollars to become citizens of this country. Dreams of my parents has finally come true»,- he wrote.

People began to share this video and comment. Shooting quickly became viral, gathering more than 7 million views in 3 days.

«I posted it to inform and motivate people who are still in the process of immigration, so they did not give up, and also that other people understand that this is a long process,» said Alex, who himself was born in the United States. The teenager also described her constant sense of fear when he grew up and thought «what parents can at any time to withdraw».

This was a different for my mom because unlike my dad, she has ALL her family in Mexico. Sadly 1-2 years ago both my grandma and grandpa died so sadly she wasn’t able to get her residency before they passed. But she was blessed to see her brothers and sisters after 25 years 🙏🏽 pic.twitter.com/nFvoNbhCUh

The Herald writes that Alex did not disclose the details of why his parents, immigrants from Mexico, so long waited green card, only noting that his sister, 21-year-old girl, born in the USA «become a sponsor».

After 5 years Alex’s real parents, if they wish, can become U.S. citizens through a process called naturalization.
