Michael Gargiulo, the so-called Hollywood Ripper, was convicted of killing two women, including girls actor Ashton Kutcher, and the attempted murder of another.

The court in Los Angeles issued a verdict on Thursday, August 15, after three days of meetings. Prosecutors described Michael Gargiulo as «a psychosexual serial killer and thrill-seeker» who stalked and then brutally killed their unsuspecting victims.
Gargiulo — a former master of repair air conditioners and the father of two children — was found guilty in the murder of 22-year-old Ashley Ellerin in 2001 and 32-year-old Maria Bruno in 2005. Both women were discovered with multiple stab wounds in their homes in Los Angeles.
«He chased them to kill, and… attacked anyone with a knife,» said Prosecutor Dan Akeman jury.
According to the Prosecutor, Gargiulo «watched and waited for the perfect opportunity» to pounce on women.
His first victim was 18-year-old Purdue University student Trisha Pacaccio that he killed another 17 years. After her death Gargiulo moved to Los Angeles and worked as a bouncer at the Rainbow Bar & Grill.
He was 24 when he first met Ellerin near her house. Then he approached her to ask if she needed help due to a flat tire. Ellerin she was a friend of Ashton Kutcher was going to go on a date with him the night she was killed.
