Nurse of the psychiatric Department claims that her colleagues facilitated a job and fed the patient Benadryl, to make them feel sleepy

Nurse hospital in new Jersey claims in a lawsuit against his employer that some employees of the night shift gave the patient Benadryl, to those soon fell asleep.

Patricia Moran from wall filed a lawsuit in the state Supreme court, claiming that some of its employees in the psychiatric ward for adults in Monmouth Medical Center in long Branch «deliberately abused and used» an antihistamine.

The lawsuit alleges that patients were given Benadryl, where drowsiness is a major side effect to «facilitate the work of nurses night shift». Moran argues that nurses are implicated in misconduct, not mentioned in the patient records that they were given the medication.

When Moran turned the attention of his superiors on what he saw, her supervisor allegedly began an «immediate response campaign.» He allegedly gave the nurse an inappropriate rating and translated it from the psychiatric ward for adults in children, for which she was not properly prepared.

Later, Moran was suspended from work for more than three months without pay and she said she could get fired.

Matthew A. Lyuber, attorney Moran, told NBC News that the hospital «turned away» from his client and that his conduct was «outrageous.»

«No employee deserves this kind of treatment, not to mention a man who has dedicated more than 31 years in that particular hospital. Ms. Moran is looking forward to her day in court,» he said.

The representative RWJBarnabas Health, health network, which owns the hospital, said he could not comment on issues relating to patients and employees.
