«It was the suit of the employee of JetBlue at the airport in Fort Lauderdale, Florida,» wrote Twitter user @nats2548 that has a picture of a worker standing in the JetBlue terminal at the international airport Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood. «I want to know your opinion».

Other users quickly began to criticize the woman, and some even called to dismiss her.

«@JetBlue need to fire her… and a public apology for her costume, because I find it very insulting and I personally will not fly on JetBlue until they apologize.» — said Twitter user @dominopr777.

JetBlue is the largest carrier in Puerto Rico, while in Fort Lauderdale almost 20% Hispanic.

The company apologized and said that «the situation was immediately corrected.»

«In the spirit of Halloween, our crew members can get dressed up, but one of the crew members chose a suit that was clearly insensitive and did not meet our policy,» said Derek Dombrowski, Manager of corporate communications at JetBlue.
