Police arrested the teacher who «freaked out» and punched a 12-year-old student in the chest and abdomen during an argument in a public school in Brooklyn.
57-year-old Roger Jesse teaches math in seventh grade in School of the Future Brooklyn, located at 574 Dumont Avenue in East new York.
He flipped out at about 15:00 on Tuesday, 3 December, and hit the boy in the chest and abdomen. The reason was that the student was trying to lock another child in the class.
The boy complained of pain after the incident and was treated at Brookdale University Hospital. According to the school administration immediately informed the parents about the incident.
Jesse was arrested the same day on charges of assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

«The safety of our students is our top priority, and that the substitute teacher was immediately suspended without pay when we were informed about his charges,» — said the representative of the Department of education.
Sources said that Jesse engaged in a teaching post from September of this year.
