A resident of Franklin (Virginia) arrived in the United Kingdom in may to having sex with 15-year-old girl and infected her with chlamydia.
Joshua ray Hatfield met with the victim in social networks, when she was 14 years old, — reads the statement of the Ministry of internal security. On may 3 he flew from Boston to Derbyshire (England) to meet personally with the girl.
Upon returning to the United States Hatfield told the teenager that «he had contracted chlamydia from an ex-girlfriend.» Soon the girl told the mother that she needed to go to the doctor after she began to show symptoms of this infectious disease. The woman then called the police. According to the affidavit, the girl first told her mother that Hatfield was 17 years old at the time of visit, but actually he at that time was 22 years old.
Before meeting the guy and girl were texting about a year, and also called Snapchat, Whatsapp and Facetime. Court documents show that she told their real age, Hatfield and didn’t want to get him in trouble, believing they were in a relationship. The girl told the investigator that their intercourse was associated with discussion of sexual acts, when they finally met.
