47-year-old resident of new York Floyd Hayes has registered a pint of beer as «an animal for emotional support» on the American website register service dogs (Service Dog USA Registration).
As reported by the Brooklyn Paper, Hays is seeking to use the certification to transport your favorite beverage on public transport.
«I do a lot of traveling from upstate to Brooklyn, and in the bus saying that Smoking or drinking alcoholic beverages is a Federal crime, and I always wondered how to obtain a permit — said Hayes, a native of England, working in new York as a creative Director. — Not that I was an alcoholic, but…».
According to him, he just wants to see if it works method.
«It was really just an experiment. I’m not trying to somehow humiliate or make fun of people who have emotional problems.»
Hayes went to the website registration of dogs to «drive» beer as an emotional support animal. He noted with a checkmark «no training requirements» in the status of training dogs, and that this should help with his «social disorder».
