He then shot and killed five tigers, sold small lemurs and falsified documents to make it look like lemurs was sent to the exhibition. In addition, he tried to pay a Hitman $3,000 to kill the protector of animals.

Now the man once known as the «King tiger», is sent to prison for 22 years.

A Federal jury found Maldonado-Passage guilty to attempting to hire a hit man to kill an activist of the animal rights Carol Baskin in November 2017.

As reported in Prosecutor’s office of Oklahoma, the jury at the trial heard evidence that the man paid $3000 for the trip from Oklahoma to Florida to kill Baskin, with a promise to pay thousands more after her death.

Carol Baskin, who was an active critic of the Park’s animal Maldonado-Passage, owns a shelter for tigers in Florida.

Maldonado is the Passage trying to find someone to kill the activist, from July 2016, and ignorance was found with an FBI agent undercover in order to discuss details of the planned murder.

He also falsified documents to sell lemurs, killed five tigers in October 2017, and were going to sell the cubs abroad.

«Since tigers are an endangered species, this killing and sale violate the Law about endangered species,» said prosecutors in court.
