31-year-old Briton Natalie Francis works as a kindergarten teacher in Wuhan. Due to the outbreak of coronavirus, she decided to leave town, but she was told to leave three year old son, because he is a citizen of China, and he has no right to evacuate to Britain.

Thursday from China fly up to 200 Britons. In the UK they are within 2 weeks will be quarantined.

Natalie Francis, a native of York, said on his page on Facebook:

«Just got a call from a foreign Embassy in London. I was planning to evacuate from Wuhan with my 3 year old son. I can fly into the UK without problems, but my son, it turns out, may not.

They say: «Nothing can be done».

A couple of years ago the British government refused to issue him a visa because he is a British citizen by default in accordance with section 2.1.and the immigration act 1981, and issue him visa allegedly infringe his human rights!

What about his «human rights» to get out of this town? Last year the child had pneumonia and the only advice they can give is that I left him here!»

According to the BBC, Natalie, her husband and 3-year-old son Jamie are in Wuhan. The woman says that they are physically healthy but suffer high levels of stress from prolonged isolation.

Coronavirus caused over 170 deaths rapidly spreading throughout China. The infection has already recorded at least 16 other countries.

Natalie Francis said that at the beginning of the outbreak, her family was not going to go anywhere.

However, in the last few days, she said, «they started to panic» after reports that already suffered by small children. Especially it is terrible that their son last year had pneumonia.

Natalie said: «My husband and I decided that if I ever get a chance, I’ll take Jamie and leave him home to the UK».

After she was asked to leave a little kid in Wuhan, and most to leave, Natalie appealed to the authorities and the General public:

«I don’t know who can handle this, but please don’t forget us!

This is the rare case when you feel really helplesswhen you can not do anything, can not say anything. It’s really awful.»

Francis wasn’t the only one forced to leave my family in China

Family of prudho, Northumberland, said that at the moment of their departure on 15 January was not warning of the dangers to health, but since then they fell into the trap of the outbreak, which claimed more than 130 lives.

«There was no indication that there was any danger. Since then, as we arrived, everything is magnified,» said Jeff.

Sidl went to Hubei province with her husband and daughter to spend lunar new year with his family in the village of Junta. 42-year-old Sidle has a visa for permanent residence in the UK since 2008.

«My head is spinning. It’s just awful, ‘ said 54-year-old Jeff Siddle. — This challenge has turned into our worst nightmare … How can they put a family in that situation? Quit now Cindy one in China — the worst thing you can imagine! How do I tell Jasmine that her mother needs to be here?!»

Cindy Siddle said she was shocked when I found out about this:

«This is a very difficult time for us because my daughter is only nine years old, and I don’t want to jeopardize her stay here for a long time.

But anything that can help my daughter to leave here, we will try, so we decided that Jeff and Jasmine will leave without me.

I want to be with your family and watch over them, especially for my girl, because I don’t know how to tell the child that they now have to live without my mom…».

Family Siddle trapped in the village Junta, near the city of Jingmen, a three-hour drive from Wuhan. They are in the last few days can not contact the British authorities in Wuhan and Beijing because of the city, according to Jeff Siddle, shut for the lunar new year.

«The British side was no big help, he said. On the roads, which can leave the Junta, do not allow cars, so we can’t leave the village. We never left the village for about four days.»

A family determined to campaign for the cancellation of the decision to Cindy allowed to leave. Meanwhile, they don’t know when they would again be reunited.

The reason for the separation of families at evacuation

According to the Guardian, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom (FCO) informed of future passengers that holders of Chinese passports are not allowed to Board a plane evacuating British citizens in the next few days.

China does not recognize dual citizenship. Any citizen who wants to obtain a passport of another country should renounce their Chinese.

Many people unofficially managed to get two passports, acquiring a second citizenship without informing the Chinese authorities. But in recent years, partly due to the anti-corruption campaign, was made more official efforts against dual citizens.

According to the BBC, the representative of the Ministry of foreign Affairs Commonwealth office said: «the Safety of British citizens is our top priority, and we maintain close contacts with British citizens and members of their families who need our help. Our priority is the unification of the British citizens and members of their families, and we will discuss this urgently with the Chinese authorities».
