The man admitted trying to kill his transgender girlfriend

A resident of Queens could go to jail for 10 years after he admitted trying to kill his transgender girlfriend.

30-year-old David Viltus pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree murder. According to the district attorney’s office, 18 April 2018 he went to the Hillside Hotel where there was a victim. Later she was found in front of the hotel with a battered face and injuries all over the body.

Prosecutors in Queens, who identified 29-year-old woman as the girl Virtusa, said he forced her into prostitution.

After the victim said he didn’t want to continue this lifestyle, he went to the hotel where she was staying and beat her.

According to prosecutors, after the police arrested and accused of Virtusa attempted murder, he tried to convince the woman to drop the charges.

«Our transgender population was faced with a huge amount of violence throughout the country, — said the Prosecutor of Queens County Melinda Katz. In this case the victim tried to rid the industry of the sex trade, when the defendant, who owned the money, attacked her and could kill her.»

Viltus faces a prison sentence of up to 10 years, with five years of supervision after his release. He will be sentenced April 8.

In Vancouver (WA) 25 year-old man was arrested for the murder of a transgender teenage girl.
