Moscow is threatening to jail for violation of the «self-isolation» due to coronavirus

Moscow authorities threatened on Sunday to a prison term of up to 5 years for those who refuse to self-isolate in their homes within two weeks after visiting countries affected by outbreaks of coronavirus.

The city government declared a «high alert» and on Thursday introduced additional measures to prevent the spread of the disease in the Russian capital. About it reports Reuters.

Those returning from China, South Korea, Iran, France, Germany, Italy and Spain and other States, demonstrating a possible «adverse» signs of coronavirus, must isolate themselves within 14 days, according to the mayor’s office.

The Moscow health Department said on Sunday that those who do not comply with these rules risk severe punishment, including imprisonment for up to 5 years.
