Police on long island said that the group of criminals from Chile enjoy visa-free travel to the United States to Rob houses in wealthy areas — and then to go back to his country.
On Friday the government of Nassau County has indicted 5 members of one such group apprehended a day earlier in a Motel in the Bronx with stolen property. Criminals suspected of robbing at least 16 homes on long island.
According to the police, to get into the country the attackers used the ESTA (electronic system for authorization of entry) — which allows you to travel across the United States for tourism or business for 90 days without a us visa standard.
«We believe they came to the country via the southwest border and went to California, focusing on homes in Beverly hills and then drove to new York,» — said the Commissioner of police Patrick Ryder.
The suspects identified as William jesús Medel-Perez, 23, Amaro Valentino Rozas Rozas, 23: Juan Antonio Hernandez Rozas, 25, of Byron Felipe Cruz Coat, 26, and Fabien Lopez Catalan, 20. At the moment they are accused of stealing a safe, $8 thousand in cash and watches worth $30 thousand
