The blind man has failed the test of citizenship when he was not allowed to read a sentence in Braille

A blind man from Mexico who claimed to be a US citizen, failed at reading, when he was forbidden to read by the Braille system.

A blind man named Luchio Delgado, who moved to America from Mexico 6 years ago, failed the test for U.S. citizenship last may after officers of citizenship and immigration the US has not given him to read a sentence in English Braille.

A resident of Illinois who is walking with a cane, stated that he was asked to read the proposal, which was written in large print that it was for him an impossible task.

Delgado, who under state law is legally blind, was obliged to obtain a note from the doctor to prove that he really bad spots.

«Here I was going to get the education that couldn’t get in Mexico»,- the man told the news station WBBM.

After he tried to pass the test, he received a letter informing that his application for citizenship was rejected. «Unfortunately, you are unable to read a sentence in English»,- was said in the letter. «You are unable to get enough points for the naturalization test».

Delgado have not been able to pass the test without Braille and without health insurance he can’t afford to go to the doctor to get a note from him. «It broke all my dreams per second»,- says the man.

But perhaps misadventures Delgado will end on a positive note.

The representative of the Service of citizenship and immigration, the United States said that the Agency had begun to provide offers that are written in Braille last November, 6 months after the failure of the Delgado test. The lawyer of the men said that the Agency contacted him when the problem his client has attracted the attention of the whole country. He was given another interview in March, reports the BBC.
