Couple arrested for theft of jewelry to $800 thousand per store in Manhattan

Friday, March 13, a couple from Brooklyn was arrested for theft of jewelry to $800 thousand in an expensive store in Manhattan.

Investigators grabbed Patrick and Ernestine Preville at their home in Brooklyn because of the robbery on February 23 in the Piaget boutique at Hudson Yards.

Stolen jewelry was found in the house of the spouses.

Both were accused of theft. Their accusation is pending in Manhattan Criminal Court.

According to police, 23 February at about 16:00 Patrick Preville wearing a burqa, entered the store and asked the consultant to show the necklace cost about $21 thousand

Then Preville pulled out a bottle of water and sprayed in the face to the employee. He ran away with the necklace, also taking two watches the price of $64 thousand and $715 thousand
