Democrats offered to pay Americans $2,000 in a month during a pandemic

A couple of Democrats from the house of representatives put forward a bill proposing to pay for millions of Americans by $2,000 a month during an ongoing pandemic coronavirus.

Bill — a Law on emergency money (Emergency Money for the People Act) — was proposed by Tim Ryan from Ohio and Ro Khanna from California.

«The economic impact of the pandemic is unprecedented for our country. Millions of Americans apply for unemployment benefits on a weekly basis, and we need to work quickly to patch the dam, and this means that you need to give money into the hands of hardworking families,» said Ryan.

This bill includes a monthly payment of $2000 every American over the age of 16 years who meets the requirements. It is proposed to pay this amount as long as employment in the U.S. will not return to dependency level.

«Lump-sum check for $1200 a little help,’ said Khanna on current payments of the administration of the tramp, which began this week. — Americans need constant cash injections during the crisis to come out the other side alive, healthy and ready to return to work. A member of the house of representatives, Ryan and I urge you to include this bill in the fourth aid package to truly support the American working class».

Under the bill, payments should be given to each adult US citizen at the age of 16 years and older who earn less than $130 thousand per year.

Married couples earning less than $260 thousand, shall receive not less than $4,000 per month. Families with children should receive an additional $500 per child.
