The Russian authorities have already reacted to the discrimination against the Russian vaccine "Sputnik V" in the United States.
State Duma deputies and representatives of the private equity fund complain about the WHO, which refuses to certify a domestic drug for use. Misunderstandings related to "Sputnik V" also affected the recent UN General Assembly in New York, which refused to let delegates from Russia without approved vaccinations. Their movement was also restricted in Strasbourg. Representatives of the Foreign Ministry say that discrimination against the Russian drug began in March 2021.
At the moment, foreigners who have visited South Africa, India, Iran, Great Britain, Brazil, and Ireland in the past 2 weeks are prohibited from entering the United States or one of the countries of the Schengen area. Russian citizens can still enter the States with a negative COVID-19 test and a valid visa, but the rules will change in November.
