New Yorkers are not afraid of terrorists: a parade in honor of Halloween, was held with increased security measures

The 44th parade in honor of Halloween, was held on Tuesday evening, a few hours after the attack killed eight people. Authorities called the incident a terrorist act.

The parade was held about a mile from the crime scene. The police have taken all possible measures to make new Yorkers feel safe has provided an armed guard.

The parade was attended by Governor Andrew Cuomo and mayor bill de Blasio assured residents and visitors that they are in no danger, but called anyway to be vigilant and inform police officers if there is any suspicion.

Some parade participants stated that the terrorist attack did not deter them, on the contrary, they felt the need to go out into the streets of the city, in spite of everything, thus showing the terrorists that they can’t affect the lives of Americans. Many new Yorkers said that they feel safe due to enhanced protection.
