Railroad Museum the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum in Portland for 10 years gives adults and children the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Christmas story, invented by the American writer Chris van Allsburg. The real «Polar Express«, traditional decorated fir wreaths, ribbons and sparkling lights, welcomes guests of all ages, who will go on an exciting journey along the Gulf Kesko straight to the «North pole». Inside visitors can enjoy fragrant hot cocoa, delicious cookies , and reading a classic Christmas story.

As the train moves slowly along its route, passengers can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, comfortably sitting in one of the plush chairs. When the train arrives at the «North pole» in the cabin rises Santa Clausto congratulate all of the upcoming holiday, and to give each child a small bell to the memory of the trip. On the way back travellers also are provided, offering all together to sing favorite Christmas songs.

First trip on the «polar Express» will be held on November 24and the last on December 23, almost Christmas day. The length of each trip is 45 minutes . To get tickets ($29 – $45) on a magical train, is enough to call the box office (phone number can be found on the official website of the Museum) or just order them online. The organizers suggest to attend to their purchase in advance as the train is popular. All raised funds will be used for the Museum’s needs, as it is a non-profit organization.
