All this splendor is called Ice castles, though with medieval buildings they have little in common. The frost giants are more like stalactites and stalagmites, however, their creation was engaged in not so much nature, how many people.

Ice castles attract annually in Lincoln city thousands of tourists. They open in the New year’s day, providing a living illustration of a winter Wonderland. All this beauty sparkles under the sunlight in day time and profitable is highlighted by twinkling lights after dark, making this location an ideal place for winter photos.

This year the Ice castles will grow in Lincoln for the fourth time. Initially, the project originated in Utah, however, with the passage of time it spread to other areas. Now these ice complexes you can find in Colorado; Minnesota in the USA, and also in the provinces of Manitoba and Alberta, Canada. Every year the creators of the project go to the winter Kingdom, there to collect the pipe system to start the process of formation of icicles, which will eventually and turn into unique castles ranging in height from 20 to 30 feet, made entirely of ice and snow.

The organizers hope that the unusual installation will delight visitors from January to March, but how long does ice sculptures depends primarily on the weather.

Entrance ticket to the ice Kingdom worth from $14 to $21; children 4 to 11 years — from $10 to $16 depending on day of week and also booked a ticket online, or bought on the spot. However, tickets should be booked in advance, because if they’re all sold out online, guests will not be able to purchase them on the spot. In sale they will arrive this week.
