The nominees for 90-th «Oscar» was announced a few weeks ago, and as we have already seen, in the category «Best film» this year the paintings are really worthy for every taste, from science fiction to historical drama movie. One of the nominees — «Ghost thread» Paul Thomas Anderson awarded 6 nominations, including in categories «the Best Director» and «Best original soundtrack».
The plot of the film takes place in postwar London 1950-ies around couturier Reynolds Vodaka the real God of British fashion industry. His clients include the cream of society: members of the Royal family, aristocrats, movie stars — in short, anyone who can afford to live large. Anderson, who directed «Oil», «Magnolia» and «Nights in style bugi» says that the «Ghost thread» was inspired by such iconic designers as Christian Dior and Cristobal Balenciaga.
Daniel Day-Lewis embodies the on-screen English Maestro fastidious and foolish, devoid of a sense of humor, but in excess of a gifted ability to shock and amaze. Women endless stream pass through life vodaka, serving as a convinced bachelor, a source of inspiration and communication.

«Ghost thread» can even be called a Comedy in a dark and somewhat creepy way. Humor is also present, but it is so subtle that an inattentive viewer can not be so obvious.
A real Queen of the scene can be called Wiki Crips. The first half of the viewer wonders what exactly is Alma, which means the story is changing and growing. Dynamic romantic relation between Reynolds and Alma take unexpected forms, and, when the audience begins to seem that everything fell into place, the fabric of the narrative breaks off, revealing something amazing.
The third puzzle picture becomes Leslie Manville in the role of sister Reynolds — Cyril. The relationship between brother and sister seem to be at least unconventional. It begs comparison with Mrs. Danvers from the novel by Daphne du Maurier «Rebecca». It is always there, always on the alert and fully armed. And she is the only woman in the life of Reynolds that understands it. Exactly Cyril rescues brother from unpleasant situations when he is too excited to handle them yourself.
Directing Anderson luxury image of the film, awesome acting and great soundtrack Johnny Greenwood doing «Ghost thread» a real contender for the prestigious award of world film industry. The film will not leave anyone indifferent. Do not be surprised if by the end of the viewing you will catch yourself involuntarily smiling.
