The Mega Millions jackpot rose to $502 million

Feeling lucky? If so, maybe it’s time to play the lotteryas the Mega Millions jackpot yesterday, March 27, rose to $502 million, after no one was able to guess the winning numbers.

They are numbers 7, 25, 43, 56, 59 and Mega Ball 13. This jackpot is the fourth largest in the entire 16-year history of the lottery. The next drawing will be held on Friday, March 30.

The previous largest jackpot ($451 million) on 5 January this year won a 20-year resident of Port Richey (state of Florida). The guy chose a lump sum payout, which after all deductions amounted to $281 million.

And here are three of the biggest jackpots Mega Millions:

  • $656 million in March 2012, the win was shared by players from Illinois, Kansas and Maryland.
  • $648 million in December 2013, divided among winners from California and Georgia.
  • $536 million in July 2016, the jackpot tore a resident of Indiana.
