Fairy tale forest in new Jersey will begin taking guests in autumn

Fairy tale forest in West Milford (NJ) will once again be able to receive visitors this fall, reports North Jersey.

The Creator of the theme Park in Oak Ridge was a German immigrant , Powell, Wael, who discovered it in 1957. Voel personally designed many of the scenes in the forest with his own hands carved of wood fairy tale characters, some made of cement. After he died in 1994, the forest passed to the new mistress – granddaughter of Woes, Kristine Vander, Ploeg.

In 2005 due to neglect and lack of visitors, which more privlekli interactive technologies, enchanted forest was closed. Since then, many of the figures were damaged by vandals, in the houses and smashed the Windows, and the walls are painted with graffiti.

And yet, 13 years later, the forest Fairy once again opens its doors – updated and ready to compete with amusement parks across America.

In 2011, Christina Vander, Ploeg, picking up the tools his grandfather, went to the Fairy forest, to restore the crumbling facade of the entrance, made in the form of a giant Shoe. Even then, she could not ignore the deplorable condition of the building, at least to open the Park again and was not planned. This end Christine asked four years later, in 2015, after retiring from his main job. The restoration of the Park she spent their personal funds, so the restoration of the whole area had to spend several years.

By the way, on the former sites, where they sold ice cream, it is planned to build an upscale restaurant, which already has the name Fables. As noted by Vander, Ploeg, «there are too many places to just eat ice cream».
