In Oculus recreated the Sistine chapel

It is difficult to say which of the great masterpieces was more exhausting: the painting of the Sistine chapel or the construction of the building is the Oculus in the station of the world trade center. Michelangelo took nearly 15 years to complete his immortal mural at the beginning of the XVI century. This work became a serious challenge for the legendary artist. This summer the ancient and modern to become one, thanks to a stunning new installation titled Up Close: Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel («the art of the close: the Sistine chapel Michelangelo»). The exhibition presents 34 reproductions of famous frescoes of the Renaissance artist, which are installed around the main hall Westfield World Trade Center, which occupies a large part of the station. The installation can be seen from June 23 until July 23, ticket prices start from $15. If one of the Sistine chapel is not enough, in November, the Metropolitan Museum of art will host the largest exhibition of the works of Michelangelo. Michelangelo: the Divine Draftsman and Designer will gather under the roof of one of the best museums in the Big Apple 150 drawings, three marble sculptures and other works of the Maestro from museums and private collections of America and Europe.
