Michelle Obama, former first lady, wrote a memoir that became a bestseller since the market launch in the U.S. and Canada, according to CBSnews. «Becoming» («Becoming») came into circulation on 13 November, and in seven days (as of Wednesday, November 21) were sold in record numbers — 1.4 million copies in all formats (print, digital, and audio versions) in North America. In addition, the book wife of the 44th President of the United States held the first position as a popular literature for an adult audience in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Finland, Denmark and the Netherlands.
It is noted that the publisher is focusing on the demand from retailers, printed 3 million copies in hardcover, and the first day it was sold 725 thousand copies. It immediately made «Formation» is not only the biggest debut this year, but the most popular memoirs published at the time the former first lady. Thus, in the 2003 book Hillary Clinton «Living history» for the first week were sold in the amount of 600 thousand copies.
His memoirs, Michelle Obama broke into three parts:
— in «Becoming me,» she shares with the reader stories from his childhood, which took place in a small apartment in South side Chicago;
— in «Becoming us» very honestly talks about the relationship with her husband, about her difficult road to motherhood, miscarriage, and about how he and Barack Obama went through all that;
— in «Becoming big» tells how it feels to be first lady, and speculates about the legacy they with the former President left Americans.
Also in his book in the period 2009-2017, the first lady forgot to mention the real President of the United States Donald trump. «She’ll never forgive him» that he supported the rumors about the birthplace of her husband (trump was claimed that Obama was not born in the United States, and in Kenya, so could not run for President).
A few days before the book’s publication, Michelle Obama said that there are times when she wants to leave her husband.
