Michelle and Barack Obama led the ranking of the most respected people in United States to 2018

According to the results of a survey conducted by Gallup, in 2018, the most respected woman in the USA was the former first lady, Michelle Obama. Among men this rating for 11 years, is headed by her husband, Barack Obama.

Since 1946, the Institute of public opinion conducts annually a survey among Americans living around the globe to find out who of the men and women they respect most. In 2018, 15% of respondents named it Michelle Obama committed a U.S. tour with his autobiography «Becoming» — bestseller of the year. Thus, for the first time in 17 years on top of the list was not Hillary Clinton.

Former presidential candidate and former first lady took the 3rd position, earning 4% of the vote. According to the Institute, for all time of existence of the Clinton’s poll appears in the top ten 27 times, with 22% headed it — more than any other person — both man and woman. This year, besides Obama overtook her Oprah Winfrey with 5%.

The fourth position among the most respected Americans women took the current first lady Melania trump.
