What is the best city in the world is a very difficult question. In the cities people live in, a society full of contradictions. Everyone has individual preferences and requirements, its vision of a better place to live, entertainment and fulfillment.
Therefore, for the rating of the «48 best cities in the world in 2019» was a large-scale anonymous survey of urban residents from different parts of the world. Time Out interviewed nearly 34,000 residents — from Melbourne to Madrid, Chicago to Cape town from tel Aviv to Tokyo. The questions were about food, drink, culture, nightlife, society, surroundings, the feeling of happiness and other factors, such as the beauty of their city, the comfort of living in it. A similar set of questions were addressed to the editors, and Time Out experts who know their cities like no other.
The result was compiled a final rating, which is typical, its fourth part went to an American city. Not done in the TOP 48 and the representative of the post-Soviet space.
1. New York
