Hollywood celebrity Emilia Clarke in a recent interview admitted that during the filming of the acclaimed series «Game of thrones» she suffered a stroke and 3 brain surgery.

It all began on 11 February 2011, when filming of the first season of «Game of thrones» came to an end. In the process of sports training, the actress suddenly had a terrible headache and nausea. Clark didn’t understand what was happening and was in a semiconscious state.
«Practically on all fours I got to the locker room. I made it to the toilet, knelt down…Stabbing, shooting and in a flash the pain was just getting worse,» – says celebrity.
The actress was urgently taken to the clinic, where doctors diagnosed her with subarachnoid hemorrhage. This kind of stroke, which was caused by the rupture of the aneurysm vessel in the brain. Every third patient with this diagnosis die, but others need urgent surgery.
Emilia Clarke was urgently operated on at the National hospital of neurology and neurosurgery in London (National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery – NHNN). Doctors were able to seal the aneurysm, reaching to her through the femoral artery. It enabled to open the skull actress.

After the surgery, which lasted more than 3 hours Clark woke up from anesthesia with a headache. Next, the celebrity was waiting for a long process of recovery, during which she had to overcome aphasia, also known as speech disorder.
In recognition of Emilia Clarke, she occasionally experienced a panic attack, because I thought that would have put an end to her acting career. Rehab was hard, and the girl often seemed like she left all. There were even thoughts of death.
«In the most critical moments I just wanted it all to end. I told you to let me die. Work, dreams of life – the focus was on language and communication. Without it I felt lost,» admits Clark.
A month later she was again on the set. The actress had made a huge effort to behave in public as usual. In fact, Clark was still experiencing severe headaches, weakness and dizziness.
To somehow muffle these feelings, the celebrity took morphine. According to her, the second season of «Game of thrones» has become a real challenge, which has been very hard for her. It soon became clear that the worst of the actress was yet to come.

After the first surgery, the doctors told Emilia Clarke, she found a second aneurysm. At that moment, she was not serious, but the doctors decided to monitor this situation.
When shooting the third season of «Game of thrones» came to an end, the actress went to do another MRI of the brain. The yard was in 2013 and Clark only managed to overcome the consequences of the stroke, when the doctors shocked her again.
It turned out that the second aneurysm has increased in 2 times and needs urgent intervention. It was assumed that now everything will happen in a relaxed mode, and the operation is quite simple. However life, as is often the case, struck at the most inopportune moment.
«When I woke up, I cried out in pain… I suffered a massive brain hemorrhage. Doctors admitted that without a new operation I would die,» recalls this terrible time Clark.

As it turned out, during the surgical intervention aneurysm ruptured, instantly causing serious complications. At the moment the only chance for survival was an operation to open the skull. Fortunately, she was successful. However, the healing process was much harder than the first time. According to Emilia Clarke, she was sure that she was not destined to survive.
«Having this experience again, I lost all hope. There was a feeling that I am but an empty shell. A diligent mind blocks memories and these dark days are difficult to remember. However, I was convinced that soon life will leave me,» says the actress.
Revival
To date, Emilia Clarke feels great. 6 years later after the operation on the second aneurysm, a celebrity actively removed and is working on a charitable project of the SameYou. He helps people who have experienced a stroke or a traumatic brain injury.
Now the actress tries not to remember the difficult period, but is confident in the future. She notes that many people are deprived of necessary treatment and she’s incredibly lucky that it worked some of the best doctors of our time.
