This is a classic Hollywood cliché that has been used in many movies and television shows when a shark suddenly attacks someone in the ocean from a single drop of blood. But how much of it is true?
Mark Robert, American engineer and inventor, known for his YouTube videos, I decided to find the answer to this question and the answer was astounding.
Mark Robert didn’t just put myself in the pool with a quiet shark years studied. He decided to swim in the ocean in the Bahamas, where you can find many predators.
First of all, he had a test to check whether other scents these predators prefer blood. It took 4 surf boards and gave them the flavor of fish oil, cow’s blood, sea water and urine, to understand that leads to more sharks.
Although at first the blood has attracted a large number of predators at the end of experiment they were going for 40. There has been little reaction to fish oil, and urine and sea water are generally not interested in sharks.
So, you can move on to the next test, to see whether sharks are so attracted to human blood. Again, was used a control of surfboard – a device on one of them produced a drop of blood a minute, a second Board produced, a drop of blood every 4 seconds and on another Board there was no blood.

Amazingly, the researchers found that none of the surfboard is not interested in any shark.
«I think we can safely say that if no shark came to know that 15 drops of human blood appeared 1 minute in the waters infested by these predators, then perhaps you’ll be OK if you decide to swim in the ocean with a small scratch,» said Robert.
These findings should definitely help people to relax, entering the ocean with a small scrape because, let’s face it, we all have thought about it at one time or another.
