The parents of a 13-year-old girl saying the airline Alaska Airlines lost their daughter while on a layover in San Francisco.
According to Maria and Douglas Davila, they paid $75 for the support of their daughter in flight from the international airport of Raleigh-Durham in North Carolina to Spokane (Washington).

Maria said that she called the airline who told them that their daughter is «lost» and didn’t get on the desired flight. When the girl found the family asked permission to send her to Spokane the next flight.
Alaska Airlines said it will reimburse the family $75, and posted an apology and explanation.
«Caring for a child who is flying alone, is our top priority. Our investigation showed that the staff met her when she arrived for her flight, and escorted her to our Service center at the international airport in San Francisco.»
The airline added that the girl «asked to wait» with employees in the Service Center waiting for a connecting flight, and that the teenager was watching. It is unclear how she missed her flight, but the family wants a full refund.
