The owners were forced to give up the dog right before she gave birth to 12 puppies

For dog owners, just about ready to give birth, was evicted from the house and they had to seek help from a shelter, so they took care about the dog and its puppies.

The dog in the later stages of pregnancy was thrown in just a few hours before she gave birth to 12 puppies. Darla, the Staffordshire bull Terrier was picked up by animal shelter after her owners were evicted from the house where they lived. After 48 hours the staff of the shelter were shocked when one-year-old Darla gave birth to 12 puppies and now they all need to find a new home. This is the largest number of puppies that appeared to have one dog in the history of the shelter, but they hope to find a new home before Christmas.

The employee of the shelter Bradley Towell said, «When we got a call asking to help Darla, we could not refuse her and took the dog. She at any moment could start to give birth, and since her owners were evicted, she threatened to give birth to puppies on the street. Fortunately we had a place, and for 2 days after the appearance of Darla, she gave birth to puppies. The team took care of Darla, helping her offspring to feed from a bottle. They fed her with it. 12 puppies is a lot for any dog, not to mention the dog in such a big size, like Darla. This is exactly the biggest brood that was in our shelter. She’s doing great and we are very proud. Because she needed to feed so many mouths, we’re helping her, feeding puppies bottle 4 times a day. Poor Darla was too exhausted to eat, so we fed her with hands that she had power.»

The whole family stayed in the shelter until the puppies are not older enough to leave mum at 8 weeks of age. Puppies — 6 boys and 6 girls — have picked up at home, where they go and your home will be found for her. Children called the Sun, Star, Galaxy, Neptune, Earth, Jupiter, Moon, Comet, mercury, Venus, Pluto and Saturn.
