From mass disappearance to the curses of heretics: the darkest places on the planet, from which the blood run cold

There are on our planet, places that are frankly frightening – they seem enchanted, cursed, or they can meet supernatural beings. Many have become Ghost towns where you can walk only a leg of the brave. And there’s a reason: it is said that there is no reason bad things happen. Even curious travelers are afraid of strange music, phantoms and just oppressive atmosphere.

In 1587 a group of British under the leadership of captain John white decided to settle on the island. White returned to Britain for supplies, leaving his family on the island. On his return he found the Fort in ruins and no trace of relatives or anyone of the other colonists. Only on the tree was carved the single word «of Croatoan» (the so-called Indian tribe who lived in the neighborhood). To this day, visitors claim that it is inhabited by spirits.

Once called «the most cursed place on earth» is a beautiful place on the coast of Molokai carries a dark imprint of the past. More than 100 years here kept leprosy patients.
