Disneyland in Tokyo will be closed for two weeks to contain the spread of coronavirus

On Friday, Tokyo disney resort announced that it will be closed for two weeks as a precaution against the spread of coronavirus in Japan. This was announced one day after Prime Minister Shinzo Abe asked to close national schools in March.

«The coming week or two — extremely important time — said Abe on Thursday when he was asked to close in elementary, middle and secondary schools. — This is done in order to prioritize the health and safety of children and to take precautions to avoid the possible risk of large-scale infections.»

The Park will be closed on Saturday with plans to resume March 15. In a statement on its web site Park referred to an increased risk of infection in crowded places.
