Died Rosalind Walter, who is known around the world thanks to the poster «We Can Do It!»

Rosalind P. Walter, the woman who became world famous thanks to the character «Klepalschitsy Rosie», died at the age of 95 years.

She died Wednesday, March 4. A friend of the late Richard Somerset-ward said she died at her home in Manhattan.

Rosalind Walter was born 24 June 1924, in Brooklyn and grew up in a rich house on long island. However, when the United States entered the Second world war, she decided to join the millions of other women, to arm the troops with ammunition, military vehicles and aircraft.

19-year-old Rosalind took a job at aviation Sikorsky plant in Bridgeport (CT) in the 1940s years. She worked the night shift, driving rivets, in metal case Corsair fighters at a plant in Connecticut. It was the work, which at that time was considered male.
