«I couldn’t believe it»: the spouses returned the camera that 2 years had lain at the bottom of the sea

Casey woods and her husband Simon never thought I’d see a picture of your dream vacation in the Dominican Republic after their kayak capsized and the camera disappeared in the waves of the Caribbean sea in April 2018. However, after 18 months under water, the camera found another tourist while diving under the water, and he promised to return the find to the owners.

Despairing of ever finding the missing photos, Cassie (34) was «absolutely shocked» when her pictures from vacation was posted on the Facebook page of the group for missing items in March of this year.

A keen fan of diving Ryan Friday Swann (36 years) has shared pictures online in the hope that someone will recognize the couple and help them reunite with their memories.

«I couldn’t believe it,» admits the girl. «A friend sent me a link to the post with our pictures, and I saw his message when I was at work. I thought this can’t be true. It’s just amazing.»

Using the pages of social networks woods and Friday Swann got in touch with each other, and the girl was thrilled when finally got their shots and the camera in the mail.

Woods and her partner Simon (age 37) went on holiday to the Dominican Republic almost 2 years ago. They used a camera when swam, went boating and rode horses. While kayaking with a camera woods bumped into a big wave and the camera that was on her neck, fell into the water. She failed to find her, and the couple decided to give up and quit looking. The couple told the staff at the hotel about the camera, but more about it heard nothing.

«Honestly, we just gave up. We just thought he lost her forever,» — says the girl. «We always joked that if someone found her, thought we drowned, because I lost her when we were kayaking».

In turn Ryan was in the Dominican Republic with his wife Annie, when they came across on camera. Ryan swam with the tube when I saw something similar on camera, so down she went and picked it up.

After just a day after Ryan posted a photo on the page in a social network, people have found the owner of the images. «I was shocked that everything happened so fast. I couldn’t believe it,» says Ryan. «I was glad the camera was in working condition. We were there during our honeymoon and would be upset if I lost our photos».

He sent pictures and the camera owner. «It just shows that there are still good people. To make such efforts to bring her back to us is very touching,» — says the girl.
