The Broadway star had his leg amputated due to complications from coronavirus

Broadway actor Nick Cordero is recovering from the amputation of his right leg, which had to make due to complications of coronavirus.

Saturday was the 18th day, which Nick Cordero spent in the ICU. During hospitalization, he started to have problems with blood clotting in his right leg. According to Amanda Kloots, blood thinners, who gave him the doctors to fix the problems with the coagulation, affected his blood pressure and caused internal bleeding in the intestines.

Nick Cordero was hospitalized in the medical center Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles (California), where he lives with his family, speaking in «Rock of Ages».

Cloots launched the hashtag #wakeupnick to Instagram and asked fans to send in videos on how they dance and ask nick to Wake up. Later on Saturday she shared the news that his surgery went well.

Friends of the couple have started a campaign on GoFundMe to help the family pay medical bills and provide a home for nick’s wheelchair.
