A single mother from Houston, Texas, was literally «engulfed in flames» when she tried to light a candle in the house — due to the fact that the woman had traces of antiseptic on her hands, and in her hand was still a bottle of disinfectant.
As Kate Wise said, the skin on her hands instantly caught fire. After that, the fire spread to the bottle — and it exploded.

The two Wise daughters rushed to the neighbors for help, while the woman began to pull off the burning clothes. At the same time, she took her third disabled daughter and pets out of the house.
“Nobody wants his children to see how it burns. What happened is killing me because they had to go through something like that. »
Wise's friend, Catherine Bonesteel, believes the incident should be a warning about buying substandard goods, and has urged antiseptic retailer Amazon to look into the matter. She also started a fundraising campaign for GoFundMe to help Kate, who has lost her home and needs multiple surgeries, pay for her medical expenses.
Wise is currently in the ICU with second and third degree burns. The woman thinks she is lucky to be alive.
The local fire department continues to investigate the circumstances of the fire.
