Traveling in USA: the Park Grounds for Sculpture, new Jersey

Located at the exhibition complex of the state of new Jersey sculpture Park Grounds for Sculpture with an area of 42 acres specializiruetsya on a huge and bizarre exhibits. The Park was opened in 1992 and since then, attracts thousands of visitors due to its gorgeous collection and amazing location: beautiful garden boasts more than 2,000 rose bushes, 1,000 trees and other plants and shrubs. Most of the more than 240 sculptures depict people in natural size. They are either installed in open spaces one at a time, or grouped into thematic groups, complementing each other and creating a realistic effect. Part of the statues hiding in the nooks of a Park landscape, so that visitors could accidentally stumble. Sculpture in the Park made of different materials: here you can find pieces of wood, plastic, metal, stone and even paper. Many of them were created by some of the most famous sculptors in the world. Attentive visitors will discover the works of George Segal, Isaac Witkin, Anthony Caro, Magdalena Abakanowicz, and J. Seward Johnson Jr. They all played an important role in the creation of this wonderful Park.

Besides the Park of outdoor sculptures, Grounds for Sculpture also has two exhibition buildings with an area of 10,000 square feet, and a private amphitheater. In one of the buildings, there is a café and gift shop. In the Park also has a restaurant Rat’s — restaurant for gourmets, overlooking the beautiful sculpture. It serves lunch and dinner, however, to get here the table must be booked in advance.

The Park Grounds for Sculpture is open from April to November from 10:00 to 18:00 every day except Monday. Tickets: $18 (regular), $15 (seniors), $10 (students and students from 6 to 17 years). A word of advice — if you buy tickets online, comes out a little cheaper.
