Two hundred gallons of urine will become the centre of a new exhibition at a gallery in SOHO

People far from the fields of art, often compared to some modern masters… as if mildly… human excrement. Although such a comparison is absolutely unflattering and even insulting, but in this case it literally describes the Central exhibit of the future exhibition.

Next month, the artist cassils theholder of a Guggenheim fellowship in the creative arts for students of USA and Canada, debuting with the exhibition, which is designed to make a statement. On 16 September in SOHO in the gallery, Ronald Feldman Fine Arts , visitors can see a series of his projects called «Monumental», and it surely will be discussed in artistic circles as something very brave.

The center of the exhibition will be the sculpture «PISSED», which is a glass cube filled with 200 gallons of urine Cassils he collected 22 Feb. On this day the President of the trump abolished the law that allowed students transgender to use the bathroom that corresponds to the selected gender identity. On the opening day of the exhibition there will also be a live performance of Cassils.

And though this exhibition might seem a bit extreme, it’s not flashy compared to other works is nothing new for those familiar with the work of Cassels. Critics have dubbed the artist one of the leading creators of transgender people in the contemporary art world, and his art projects have been exhibited in galleries around the world.

The exhibition «Monumental» can be seen in the gallery of Ronald Feldman Fine Arts from September 16 to October 28.
