The BBC reports that the US demanded from Russia to close the Consulate in San Francisco and other diplomatic facilities in response to the «unjustified» actions of Russia.
The state Department said Thursday that up to September 2, Russia will have to close its Consulate in San Francisco, as well as consular facilities in Washington and new York. U.S. officials said that their actions were a response to the Kremlin’s decision to reduce the size of the us diplomatic mission in Russia.
Now in both countries will remain at the three consulates in each.
