Three congressmen, members of the Democratic party, was arrested opposite the Trump Tower while participating in the demonstration, dedicated to the protection of the program DACA.
The arrested officials were Democrats Luis Gutierrez, Raul Grijalva and Adriano Espiet. According to Make the Road New York, an immigration organization, which organized the demonstration, members of Congress went to the Trump Tower along with protesting immigrants. Approaching the building, the protesters blocked the traffic on 5th Avenue.
As reported in Facebook Luis Gutierrez, the police arrested them because of civil disobedience.

Recall that the demonstration was organized almost two weeks after Donald trump decided to close the program Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Since then, the President worked closely with Congress to signing a deal to protect the DREAMers, but the consensus in this issue has not yet been found.

According to a press release of the organization Make the Road New York, the purpose of the meeting was to protect the «pure dream act, which will provide young immigrants a path to citizenship without additional funding measures of border security, which trump plans to create the border.»
