Tax reform to be| the House of representatives voted «for»

The U.S. house of representatives today approved by the Senate, the country’s budget for 2018, eliminating the last procedural obstacle to tax reform proposed by the presidential administration. The vote passed again with a small gap: 212 votes against, 216 .

The bill was supported by all Democrats and some Republicans, but those who were «for» was enough for bill to pass on. A group of Republicans from new York and new Jersey opposed the bill because of concerns over possible changes in state and local tax deductions.

However, now voting on specific measures taken in the framework of tax reform, Republicans need only a simple majority of votes. Thus, the Democrats lose the right to affect the future course of reform and not be able to apply the «rule of the filibuster».

The Republicans are going to provide new detailed tax plan next week and manage to pass it up for a vote in the Senate by thanksgiving.
