President Donald trump will not hold an official meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the economic summit in Damage (Vietnam).
Press Secretary of the White house Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that the reason is not in conflict, and not for lack of desire but lack of opportunity to coordinate a full schedule of the two leaders and find a common «window» for appointments.
At the same time, Sanders said it is still possible that the two leaders will hold an informal situational meeting on the sidelines of the summit in Vietnam or later in the Philippines.
U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson said Thursday to reporters in Beijing that there is no reason for a meeting between the two leaders, if they fail to make significant progress on issues such as the situation in Syria and Ukraine.
