Trump refused to become «Man of the year» by Time, although the journal did not offer

On Friday, November 24, trump wrote on Twitterthat he personally called representatives of the Time and was asked to star in a photo shoot and interview because it is likely to be awarded the title «person of the year» for the second time. According to the President, he didn’t like the fact that the magazine does not guarantee his victory, and he refused.

Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named “Man (Person) of the Year,” like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!

Time in same Twitter account responded to a loud statement of the President: «the President is wrong about how we choose the man of the year». The press service of the magazine said they do not comment on editor’s choice to the issue name of the winner and his (her) portrait on the cover.

The content Director Allan Murray tougher responded to trump’s words. He stated that they have no «shred of truth». A former Time editor Richard Stengel noted that the word «probably», said employees of the magazine Trump, means that the President just will not receive the title of «man of the year» for the second year in a row.

According to tradition, which originated in 1927, Time magazine’s latest December issue called «Man of the year» according to their wording. In the journal note that the title is not an honour but a definition of personality that had the biggest impact on the world community over the past year.
