Both Republicans and Democrats are determined to recruit a sufficient number of votes at the expense of individual items of the budget. Experts say that every hour’s procrastination and lack of constructive dialogue between the House of representatives and the Senate, Democrats and Republicans bring the government to the breaking point – closing. On approval of the budget or of the previous renewal and, accordingly, prior to the termination of the Congress in less than 48 hours.

Republicans oppose the inclusion of this item in the budget. If the law on the extension of funding will still be accepted, in the future Congress will be faced with other difficulties. In addition to issues relating to immigrants, «stumbling block» was also the assertion of the defense budget and funding of health programs.
If agreement is not reached before January 20, lawmakers will be forced to go on unplanned vacation.
